Carquinez Review:

• CR is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, dedicated to the belief that our lives and communities are enriched when we remember our stories and art, when we chronicle our past, present and hopes for the future, and when we create lasting records that celebrate who we are and what we dream.

The draft of the Benicia Literary Arts Guild’s mission:

• To encourage, support, edify, and promote writers in all genres. We seek to engender writers’ creativity and bolster their skills.
• The Guild strives to be viewed as a premier support of writers and showcase for quality writing in Northern California.
• Created to serve a broad community of writers, the Guild strives to provide a network of affiliated support services to writers including writers’ groups, workshops, seminars, reader reviews, editorial review, publication, marketing and promotion.
• Because we value the fellowship of writers, our work comprises activities that provide opportunities for writers to share with and learn from each other. Writers within the Guild’s sphere of influence will benefit from our collaborative kinship and network of support.
• Standards of review in our society of writers seek to move emerging and established authors from good to better, and better to best.
